real estate company specializing in selling, leasing, and
property management of condominiums. Today, the
company provides management services to Cambridge Tower and the
Towers of Town Lake, both of which are prestigious
condominium communities in Austin. Uptown
has extensive experience in highrise residential
buildings such as Cambridge Tower and Towers of Town
Lake. Other properties include Chestnut Place (a group of
stately two story townhomes located in
the historical Judges Hill area of west Austin)
and Fourteenth Fairway Condominiums (a group of twenty-two
townhomes in the Westlake area of Austin). These
condominium communities are good examples of our
ability to provide professional management and real estate
services to the condominium market.
The founder of Uptown Condos
is Barry A. Smith who has managed Cambridge Tower since
1992. Barry is a graduate of the University of Houston
with a degree in business administration and is a licensed real
estate broker. Previously, he managed quality hotels
for over twenty-five years. His hotel career
centered around such companies as Hyatt, Stouffer's,
Hilton, and the Trammell Crow Company. This
experience included such noted hotels as the Warwick
Hotel, Hyatt Regency Hotel, Whitehall Hotel, and Stouffer's
Greenway Plaza Hotel in Houston; The Registry Hotel, NorthPark
Inn and Convention Center, and Regent Hotel in Dallas;
The Admiral Semmes Hotel in Mobile, Alabama; the Midland Hilton
and Towers in Midland, Texas, and the Stephen F.
Austin Hotel, and Radisson Hotel in Austin. He has earned
the designation of Certified Hotel Administrator from the
American Hotel and Motel Association, and Certified Manager of
Community Associations from the Community Associations
Institute.
Barry Smith formed Uptown
Condos in 2000. Specializing in only downtown
condominiums, he has established himself as one of the leading
professional in this market.
